OBSTACLE COURSE

Some things are easy and some are not!!!

Good Luck!

LaSalle County Posse Sign

The obstacle course can be used by anyone. Safety first - read the signs. If anything is damaged, report it to the office.

Arena

Small but nicely kept arena. It has a catch pen at one end. Don't tie your horse to the panels

Star poles

Step over the different angles & heights

Wooden Bridge

Slightly noisy but very easy for most trail horses.

L-shape Logs

Walk into, back out or vice versa. Also just used to step over.

Rolling Poles

The poles will roll right under your horse - becareful. I would recommend boots on the horse before trying this.

Walk Through Streamers

The streamers were more challenging last year when they used CSI tape - blowing in the wind!

This years ropes with tags will catch on you and your tack.

Side Pass

Practice side-passing many ways here

Drag Tire

This is dangerous to do if you have not trained your horse already. DO NOT dally or tie the rope tight - if your horse spooks, you could be in big trouble. Leave the rope long enough so that the tire is never going to bump the horse's hind legs. Also, wear gloves.
